Techniques of Divination-Part 1

Water Gazing/Scrying  Used to create visions and symbols of the future in the water. Ask a question or focusing on intention while sitting in front of a bowl of water 
Wells Tossing a stone into a well for an answer to a binary question is another technique. The number of bubbles that rise from the bottom reveal the response: an odd number signifies no, while an even number signifies yes.
Listening to WaterListening to water and calming your mind can provide answers and visions by being in a calm and meditative state. Let the spirit of the water speak to you. 
Fire Gazing/ReadingAsk question and focus on intent while gazing into the flames while the fire burns down. Withing the flames images will appear. 
Fire reading is an alternative to fire gazing as it is the actual act of lighting a fire and reading for the future according to its appearance. 
CandlesOne of the most popular forms of divination as it has the properties of all four elements. It has been adopted after its forerunner, oil-lamps which has been used for divination. This techniques is practiced by lighting a candle and looking for signs in the flame itself and the wick. If the candle refuses to light, it indicates that a challenge is coming. If the candle dims, it may best to hold off on concerns until further notice. If the flame is bright, it is a sign of good fortune but if it quickly grows smaller, the luck will be temporary.
SmokeLighting an incense, build a fire or burning specific objects associated with objective can reveal message in the smokes appearance. Focus on intention and gaze into the smoke. 
BirdsConsidered messengers of the divine. Omens are taken from their sudden appearance and in the direction they fly, their cries, numbers, etc. (More information will be provide on different types of bird omens in next post)
